United Employment Group is seeking a Production Supervisor in Florida.
Description:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation, along with the Plant Manager of our manufacturing facility. The facility employs more than 30 associates and operates 5 days a week. This is a hands on position in a key facility within the divisions network.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all day to day activities of the facility utilizing LEAN Methodologies to improve the facilities primary metrics – Safety, Quality and Plant Performance
- Through team building and employee engagement achieve Zero Harm for all site associates
- Manage and schedule the site workforce
- Review Production schedule and make recommendation, communication of potential issues and resolve
- Make recommendations and lead the implementation of Improvements
- Drive financial improvement with projects improving machine efficiencies and reducing waste
- Assist in the overall management of Raw Material Inventory while improving accuracy
- Collaborate with Peers and Leadership across other sites establishing Best Practice
- Ability to work with cross functional teams (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics)
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or appropriate level of education and experience
- Proven practical implementation of LEAN Manufacturing Methodology
- 2 – 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing in an environment with a large number of SKU
