Job Description Summary

  • Sales and marketing support to increase visibility & awareness of all masonry product lines through participating in the development of bids for each job
  • Review job plans and bid documents
  • Develop project summaries for sales personnel
  • Potential training for future Outside Sales Role
  • Provide support to Outside Sales force
  • Regularly research bidding sites, news articles, and other information outlets to generate job leads for the team
  • Collect product samples and deliver to customers as needed (must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.)
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with customers to facilitate return business
  • Sustain a working technical knowledge of all available products with heavy emphasis on masonry products
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Professional Skills

  • Need to demonstrate sales skills
  • Extensive technical skills (Microsoft Office), QR codes, internet based programs, salesforce.com, PDF Editing software
  • Must understand the nuances of customer relations
  • Must have strong verbal & written communication and follow-up skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining control and perspective of each
  • Must be able to learn and retain vast amounts of product information
  • Expected to offer new ideas & solutions to improve customer service
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks & adapt quickly to create solutions for unexpected issues

Experience / Requirements


  • 30% travel required (limited overnight) 70% office
  • Sales experience (building products industry)
  • Experience in a team-based environment
  • Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line)
  • Understanding of the design, bid, build process and the related players
